Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, after meeting at the Kathmandu Airport arrival hall, we will accompany you to your Kathmandu hotel. If your arrival time allows, we will have a trip briefing after you have checked in and gotten setteled. In the evening if you are scheduled on a late arrival, we will have our briefing the following morning at breakfast.
Our first day, we will go for a sightseeing tour of the major cultural heritage monuments in the
Kathmandu valley. Our heritage tour in Kathmandu is a rich cultural, historical and spiritual
immersion that takes us back to an ancient time when the Kathmandu valley used to be a lake.
We visit Swoyambhunath (aka The Monkey Temple, Patan Durbar Square – a medieval
palace square, Pashupatinath to see a Hindu cremation on the banks of the River Bagmati, and
Finally to Boudhanath – the largest Buddhist stupa in the region.
Following our full day exploration of the Kathmandu valley, we will now drive to Chitwan National Park. The drive to Chitwan is via a beautiful highway that takes us through some beautiful towns and surrounding countryside. Much of the ride is along the river, with lush landscapes and beautiful vistas. After about six hours, and a stop for lunch, we reach the village of Chitwan, Near the National Park, where we will stay overnight. We will plan our jungle itinerary for the following day.
Our day is filled with interesting jungle safari activities. We will explore the jungle and Wildlife on an Elephant Safari, enjoy a jungle walk, a canoe ride, and visit the elephant breeding center, among other things. Our safari provides us with a unique opportunity to spot wild animals like the One - Horned Rhino, Deer, Wild Boar, Bears, and Crocodiles Regularly, and if we’re lucky the beautiful and very Rare Bengal Tiger. We will complete our visit by attending a cultural show performed by the ethnic Tharu people of the area.
Today, we leave Chitwan for Lumbini. We have about a 4 hour drive on the road headed toward Bhairahawa. It is a beautiful drive to an ancient and important historical town of Lord Buddha.
Today we drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lake city 200 kilometers and 80 kilometers west of Kathmandu and Bandipur respectively. It’s a leisurely and scenic 2.5 hour drive, and we reach Pokhara with plenty of time for us to wander around the lake and have lunch. We will go for a sunset tour up to the World Peace Stupa. From there, we get not only a beautiful sunset view, but a magical view of the mountains, Lake Fewa and the entire Pokhara valley.
We will start our day very early in the morning in order to experience a spectacular mountain sunrise tour. First, we drive about half hour up the Hill to Sarangkot. From there, we are treated to a breathtaking sunrise, with views of several of the most notable mountain peaks in the Annapurna region. We can see Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna I, II, III, IV as if they are right in front of us changing their colors as the sun rises. Later, we will drive down to Pokhara for breakfast and continue our exploration of the wonders in this beautiful city. We’ll go for a boat ride in Lake Fewa; visit Davis Falls and continue on to Gupteswor Cave.The second half of the day will be at your leisure. We can spend it relaxing at the lake, or try some Adventure Sports, Like Paragliding, Zip Flying, Bungee Jumping for an extra cost.
Today it is time to head back to Kathmandu. We have about a 7 hour ride via tourist bus, or there is a flight option available at an extra cost. Once back in Kathmandu, the rest of the day is yours to spend how you choose.
Your final day of the tour. Relax, take a massage, find some art, music or other souvenirs to take home with you. Or just relax. The choice is yours, and we can provide you with recommendations for whatever you choose to do.
It is time to say goodbye. We will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your departure flight. Please be ready at your hotel three hours prior to your flight time.
